THE PORCELAIN DOLL
The porcelain doll was sniffling behind a book. It was the same old story. "I'm just too fragile for words," she said, dabbing at a glass eye. "And it's not my fault looking pretty is all I'm good for. I was made like this." There had been many conversations already about not being able to swim and never seeing the world, but the duck still barreled over to hug her. "Look what you've done!" the doll screamed, getting up with a wide crack in her beautiful chin. The duck thought but did not say "Oh, there's hope for her now."
