THE MAN WHO COULD NOT DIE
The man who could not die had a cinnamon roll for breakfast and walked slowly through the rain. He’d long since grown out of the not-looking-both-ways phase. He had changed his mind about God several times over the centuries but lately was leaning yes. You would, he reasoned, have lost your mind by now if no one was listening. At the funeral home he pulled a pencil from behind his ear and waved it furiously like a conductor’s baton. "This is a wonderful day!" he screamed at the family of the deceased. "Enough of your crying! Sing!"
