THE MAN IN THE MOON
The man in the moon didn't know how he got in there. One minute he was after the mastodon with his great dog running ahead of him. Next minute he was a slightly smushed face people were pointing up at. What bothered him the most was the way she would have whirled around frantically, a little panicked whine rising in her throat. “Isn’t the moon just lovely tonight?” a young woman in a halter top said to a husband who only harrumphed. Inside the moon the man went on screaming “somebody please help me!” at stars who could not hear.
