This listing is for an original watercolor illustration on cold-pressed Arches watercolor paper paired with a custom-painted mat embellished using premium Holbein gouache and Polychromos colored pencils. The illustration has been attached to the mat using archival methods (mulberry paper t-hinges affixed with wheat starch hinging paste) and the full piece (including the mat) measures approximately 11x14 inches. Signed and labelled by the artist in pencil in the margin. This is an unframed original painting, not a print. It is an illustration for Bryana's 100 Word Story "The Lemon Seed" and will be shipped with an accompanying printed version of the story. THE LEMON SEED
The lemon seed looked in the mirror a second time and it was true: she was getting a little dried out. She tapped her skin and it was toughening. “I think” she said nervously that night when the dishes were done, “I may be past the sprouting age.” She peered into the fire so the Southern citrus root weevil wouldn’t see her bottom lip shake. It isn’t easy realizing you’ll never be a tree. “A lot of my favorite people,” the weevil said kindly, “are not trees,” and held onto her hand tightly because they weren’t going to live forever.

Framing Information
The listed price is for the unframed painting. However, the painting is currently in a frame (shown in the final listing photo) and if you are local to the Lehigh Valley and available for local pickup, you may pick it up in its frame at no additional cost (since you will be saving me the cost of shipping). If you are not local but really want the framed version, reach out to me via the Contact Form to arrange for the shipping of the framed piece. Additional shipping charges will, unfortunately, apply, as it is expensive to safely ship framed artwork.
