About This Listing
This listing is for an original miniature diorama box scene painted with professional-grade watercolors on 100% cotton Arches watercolor paper and assembled using archival-quality glue. The diorama box is made of carboard, covered with textured paper, and then painted an eerie Morgul green using velvety acryla gouache paint. With the lid closed, the box measures roughly 3.75 x 2.75 x 1.25 inches. This is not a print, but a one-of-a-kind original painted papercraft creation.
Bryana Says
This diorama box is my depiction of one of the most iconic scenes from The Lord of the Rings: Samwise Gamgee's legendary lonely battle with the people-eating spider Shelob. Sam is one of my favorite literary characters for his dauntless pluck and simple-hearted devotion. He's no intellectual, and has a tendency to interpret the world in a too-simple way, but his single-minded sense of purpose makes him the best comrade in a tight spot (like the pass of Cirith Ungol!), and he comes through Tolkien's trilogy as a kind of world-class hero.
