I spent a month working on this painting in spare moments and the thumb gave me a lot of trouble. This will be surprising to exactly zero people who have ever rendered the human hand in artwork, and I can't say it was surprising to me—I knew what I was getting myself into. But it did prompt me to begin referring to the piece as Weird Thumb. I think the thumb is much improved, but I can't stop calling it that. If you want to own my one and only original painting called "Weird Thumb," this listing is for you.
